DJ / Producer (Drum'n'Bass / Drumstep) ************************************************************* Imperial Waves ist das Wunschkind des DJs Crumbling Empire aus St. Gallen und des Berner DJs Styx. Beide teilen eine lebenslange Liebe und ein unbestrittenes Talent, das sie letzendlich zusammenführte. Als erfahrene Schlagzeuger waren sie in viele Bandprojekte involviert und entdeckten später das Auflegen und somit den Drum and Bass. Die engagierten Solo- Dj’s wurden für DnB-Parties in der ganzen Schweiz gebucht, wodurch sie sich schlussendlich auch kennenlernten. Keiner von ihnen hätte vor ihrem ersten gemeinsamen Booking geahnt, wie sich die Zusammenarbeit entwickeln würde. Jedoch war nach dem ersten b2b Set im Stall 6 in Zürich klar, dass die Harmonie zwischen ihnen stimmt. Durch ihr vielseitiges Interesse und ihre Leidenschaft zu Drum and Bass ergänzen sie sich hinter wie auch neben den Turntables. Ob Deep Liquid, Dark Neurofunk, oder uplifting Sound, sie schätzen die ganze Bandbreite des Drum and Bass. Dies zeigt sich auch an den Events an welchen sie bereits zusammen spielen durften. Sei es eine Big Label Night wie die RAM Night, eine Therapy Session für Liebhaber des härteren Sounds, oder eine sanftmütige Soul of Divercity, die zwei Dj-Freunde treffen immer den Geschmack des Publikums. Mit ihrem neuen Projekt Imperial Waves wagen sie den Schritt vom gelegentlichen b2b zur musikalischen Partnerschaft um nun als Team die Schweizer DnB-Szene zu erobern. ************************************************************* Imperial Waves is the love child of DJ Crumbling Empire from St. Gallen and DJ Styx from Bern. Both share a longterm love and an undoubtetly big talent for music, which brought them together in the first place. As experienced long time drummers, they were engaged in some band projects and later in life got to know djing and Drum and Bass. As driven Solo Djs they were invited to DnB-Parties around Switzerland and met eventually at one of them. When they were booked for the first set together neither of them would have guessed how well it would turn out. But after their first b2b gig at Stall 6 Zurich it was clear that the chemistry between them is going on strong. Through their openminded interest and heartfelt passion for Drum and Bass do they complete each other behind and aside the turntables. Wheter it is Deep Liquid, Dark Neurofunk or uplifting Sound in between, they appreciate the whole spectrum of Drum and Bass. This can also be seen on the list of events they were able to play together. Like a big Label Night like RAM Night, a Therapy Session for lovers of the dark rough sound or a sensual Soul of Divercity, the two Dj-friends know what the crowd craves.
