taniawilk Tania Wilk Los Angeles Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Tania Wilk left her hometown to marry her senior prom date and best friend of 10 years. She packed her bags and left behind work as a wedding/funeral singer, her thriving yoga business, loyal friends and beloved family. Tania traveled across the continent as a proud Army wife, away from all she had ever known only to find out her husband was leading a double life. After enduring the painful process of many attempts to salvage the marriage, it was irreparable. With a shattered heart and fragile mind, she gathered the courage to leave and made a nonstop solo voyage across a barren landscape to Los Angeles. She wound up making it her new home and began building the life she longed for and deserved. Her upcoming EP entitled ‘Carousel’ is all about the rollercoaster to and through divorce. Tania sings about her time in the pit of despair to the unveiling of a whole new life far more satisfying then she ever could have known if she stayed. The nearly 3 year creation of this EP has been a therapeutic process and she is ready to share it with the world. The soulful sounds she grew up with in church choir since age 5 transfer into her indie folk inspired music of today. Classical training and musical influences such as Whitney Houston, Jewel and Bette Midler growing up to present day artists like Brandi Carlile, Maggie Rogers and Patty Griffin attribute to her ever evolving eclectic style.The title track ‘Carousel’ will be released as the first single off her upcoming EP.
