What is socialism and what could it actually look like in the U.S?

Join us for a five week series to study and discuss the book ‘Socialist Reconstruction: A Better Future for the United States’ to explore this question in depth!

How might we reorganize healthcare, housing, education, transportation, infrastructure and food systems to better meet our needs? What would a socialist government do about debt, public safety, climate change and imperialism? What can we do to meaningfully address racism, sexism and all forms of oppression? Come discuss and share your thoughts on how we as workers, who make the world run, might go about running the world!

Join us on Wednesdays from May 6 through June 3rd (5 sessions: May 6, 13, 20, 27 and June 3rd) at 6pm at First Christian Church located at 1166 Oak St in Eugene.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase in-person at the study group sessions or at 1804books.com. Pre-reading is highly encouraged but not required, all are welcome to join, learn and discuss!
