#DDay 🍁79 years ago today, 14,000 Canads and 7,000 Brits landed on Juno Beach. From 7:30-8:00 am, the first Canadians launched attacks along a 8km stretch of beach. Despite the heavily entrenched enemy, by evening, a Canadian bridgehead was established on the coast of Normandy.

As you give thanks this weekend, take a moment to remember each & every Canadian who made the ultimate sacrifice 76 years ago. We may not have known them. We might not see their final resting places 1000s of miles away. But we remember with gratitude their selfless courage. 🌽 🍁
