𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Entertainment & #sexworkers face greater vulnerabilities during this pandemic - we agree that nightlife venues should adhere to strict safe management measures but blaming & stigmatising workers is unproductive and heavy-handed. #sgktv #KTVcluster

Rights of an arrested person: While Police have the right to search you & any place of evidence, and seize any items they deem as evidence, you have the right to: - Ask to be searched by a female officer (if you are female on your ID) - Have access to medication if any [1/3]

What is obscene is not the content, but that sex workers continue to be exploited and abused with little legal recourse. There needs to be space for consensual adult content provision, and regulations should exist to reduce harm rather than deepen inequality. (3/3)

Consenting and private content shared with a willing paying audience should not be criminalised. Instead of increasing policing of sex workers, we should ensure that this content is not nonconsensually leaked, and that these creators are fairly compensated. (2/3)

Entertainment and sex workers should absolutely be allowed to work and make a living, and it is time we recognise their labour and their role in society. #singapore #COVID19
