Out of all my rats, Toast is by far the easiest to photograph! She seems to understand that she needs to pose, and every photo session with her ends up with the majority of photos being ones that I like. Her signature pose has to be this derpy smile - its too cute!

These girls turned a year old last month, so I decided to do a glow-up photoshoot (top shows each girl at 6-9 weeks of age, 2nd shows them at a year old!) Happy 1 year to Pistachio, Carrot, Jellybean, and Cinnamon!

Can you guess what my favorite trick to train rats is? Lol and this video only contains clips of about half the rats I've taught it to 😅 If a rat stays with me for even a day I just can't help myself, I have to teach them to spin on cue! (Cut for twitters video length limit)

So as far as a happier update, yesterday I tried to have my 4 most experienced girls play vs basketball in teams while wearing costumes (well capes lol), and it actually went pretty well! Toast, Tofu, Popcorn, and Raisin all did a great job!

Well I am officially deceased from the cuteness - I just love how cuddly the girls were being here, they really decided to see just how many of themselves they could cram into one igloo!

Very happy to say that Raisin had her first true basketball game with Tofu last night! Raisin has technically known basketball for months, but she struggled with consistently getting the ball into the hoop. So I'm very proud to see her get it down - go Raisin (and Tofu!)

Another clip of the girls being sweet and snuggly - just look at Raisin's relaxed little smile 🥺 Also bonus points to Pistachio for chilling next to the igloo instead of in it - sometimes you have to make do when the preferred snuggle spot is full!

Raisin and her little paw pic never fails to make me smile 🥺 I love the expression on her face here, its so hard to capture Raisin's sweetness in photos but I feel like this one really shows her personality so well!

Raisin has gone from disgruntled lint ball to modern art piece with her markings this week lol - last week she was nearly all naked on her face with random hairs sticking up ever so often, this week she's all about the circles and also managed to develop a letter C on her back!

Smol and large! Aka my smallest dwarf girl Pumpkin Seed and my largest standard Coffee - both girls are a similar age and its so crazy to see their size difference (and extra adorable to see them cuddle!)

So I started training vs basketball with Jellybean last night and it turns out Cracker doesn't exactly pull her punches 😅 Poor Jellybean was just trying to make a hoop and Cracker grabbed the ball and yanked it away, sending Jellybean flying!

Popcorn & Toast playing vs basketball! I'm really proud of Toast in particular for being able to hold her own - Popcorn can be very pushy with basketball so I wasn't sure how Toast would do given her initial struggle with it, but she rose to the challenge - go Toast & Popcorn!
