Collecting 1/1 art teaches you a lot. Also helps you take a step back and look in time frames of multiple years v/s hours or days. If you're betting on emerging artists, it's a partnership. Help them in their journey. Rarely would you find an overnight success.

Rise of #nftphotography would be a great case study a decade from now. I've not a seen a more persistent community than all photographers who keep putting themselves out there. The nftphotographers from 2021 have paved they way for and established the foundation for the next wave

If any artists need to hear this. The only place where I as a collector look for utility is bigger community pfp plays, memberships etc. If I'm collecting a 1/1 #NFTs from you, it's because I like the work and am vested in you being successful.

The constant ask from artists to “build a community” and to “add utility” is only going to lead most of them to (1) burn out and (2) lose their creativity. That does not make the 2 points above unimportant, but let’s not forget that art is utility and so are emotions.
