    Former Philadelphia Police Officer, Darren Kardos has been charged with aggravated assault after he pulled a young Black mother out of a vehicle by her hair in October 2020.
    “The law applies equally to people in uniform and people who are not in uniform,” Larry Krasner, Philadelphia’s district attorney, said in an interview on Thursday.

    Jada Johnson, a 22-year-old woman shot by Fayetteville police in July, died as a result of 17 gunshot wounds. Jada was suffering from a psychiatric crisis when police were called to her grandparents' home.⁠ #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

    Today’s 13th death in 2022 is another reminder that going to Rikers is a death sentence, like it was for Elijah Muhammad who was locked illegally in a tiny shower cell for 30 hours before he died. Eric Adams is unfit to run Rikers. #RikersInCrisis

    Zero excuses. The police chief apologized at the meeting, and said they were purchased but didn't say where they were from. Farmington Hills, MI Police must be held accountable.
