A musical instrument does not discriminate, it cares not for the color of the hand that plays it but only for the content of the artist's heart and musical soul.

We are saddened by the passing of @chickcorea who inspired so many with his music and creative genius. In an interview for #BelieveinMusic he said "When you find something you love to do..you feel good. For me to play for audiences, record, write music..this is what I love to do."

Students who learned to play an instrument in elementary and continued playing in high school not only score significantly higher but were about one academic year ahead of their non-music peers with regard to their English, mathematics and science skills. psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-at…

"The thing about music ed is...the lessons you learn and what it does to the brain scientifically, you don't even realize it but you're becoming smarter all the way around in every subject." Grateful to have @ErichBergen with us & @VH1SaveTheMusic again this year on #NAMMFlyIn.
