We wait way too long to teach fractions. A 5 or 6 year old can already understand: whole vs half, equal parts, fair sharing, more and less. Those ideas build the mental model for multiplication and division later. Fractions are not “advanced.” They’re foundational.

6yo learning fractions with Synthesis. Teaching style is Socratic. Answer correctly, get increasingly challenging follow-up questions. Lover her proud face at 1:10. That justified pride in what you've learned is the best motivator. Far better than points or leaderboards.

My kid was struggling with some math concepts this past school year so I decided to help tutor with @synthesischool. The progress is *very* noticeable. Synthesis Tutor is an absolutely wonderful AI tool, I highly recommend it if you have a kid 6-10yo.

Very impressed with @synthesischool math tutor. My 6yo is really enjoying her interactions with addition, multiplication, and division. The interactive games are fun and fairly intuitive when paired with the AI voice instructions. Love how it also requires her to respond via

I just found my 7 year old in his room on my iPad going through the mathematics lessons on @synthesischool ... he had snuck off quietly, hoping not to get caught doing additional school lessons!
