Turkish guy trying to sell me overpriced candy kept saying I looked Turkish and when I told him I was Hungarian he said “szervusz!” named like 10 Hungarian cities he had been to and kept calling me “Attila” (it worked)

The flooding also destroyed the villages where the Hungarian-descended Nubians supposedly lived (which I thought was a myth until a bunch of Sudanese people told me otherwise) But I swear I will go to Sudan one day and make a video about whoever from this community remains

It will always break my heart that ancient Nubian towns in Sudan were drowned on purpose. They flooded 170km of land in the Nile Valley, the heartland where the Kingdom of Kush flourished for thousands of years. The flooding forced over 70k people from their ancestral lands. On

Anyone know what this symbol is? Found among random antique jewelry collected by my wife’s grandmother — a Dutch woman who’s lived decades in the U.S. south The letters could be П, π or ח, so maybe my Cyrillic, Hebrew, Greek or esoteric knowing friends could have some insight
