We wanted to share this beautiful moment that was captured by a staff member when members of our team spent a few extra minutes on our helipad praying for their unit, Vanderbilt employees, patients and families & all of our colleagues around the world taking care of patients.

We love hearing @DollyParton sing "vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vacciiiiiiiinnnnne” on our campus today, just before she got hers. Dolly’s generous support helped fund early research at Vanderbilt Health into what is now a vaccine that’s helping end the pandemic. THANK YOU, DOLLY!

Hi Georgia. This is not hospital overflow. These gurneys are in place at VUMC for COVID-19 preparedness. We feel it’s better to be prepared than not.

What a fitting end to 2020 as our resident infectious disease expert, Dr. Bill Schaffner, gets his 1st dose of the #pfizer vaccine. Here's to a happier 2021 for all of us! #hello2021 #goodbye2020 @vumc_insights

Today's "VUMC Day of Silence for Black Lives" will last 8 hours & 46 minutes for the 8 minutes & 46 seconds that George Floyd was fighting for his life with an officer's knee on his neck. Hundreds of our team members will kneel for 8 minutes 46 seconds at a time in solidarity.

Calling her a pandemic savior may be a slight exaggeration. But Dolly's generous support helped fund early research at Vanderbilt Health into what is now a promising vaccine to help end the global COVID pandemic. @DollyParton #covid #covidvaccine
Dolly Parton at last year’s C.M.A. Awards. A donation from the singer provided a critical boost in the early stages of coronavirus vaccine development, according to one researcher.
