West Papua is under brutal Indonesian occupation, oppression, murder, and genocide are being used by Indonesia to silence West Papua.
In West Papua and internationally, Indonesia uses false flag deceptions; its TNI military too often attacks foreign business and Papuans while pretending to be Papuan, its Kopassus military in 2012 began recruiting people to flood social media with tourism and propaganda stories denying the ongoing extrajudicial killings and unlawful exploitation; and internationally Indonesia uses bribery and misdirection to mislead the majority of people who advocate for the people's rights to life and liberty.

West Papua has been annexed by the United Nations on 21 September 1962. In 1961 Indonesia and India had successfully replaced the UN Secretary General with their friend U Thant under whose influence the US decided to appease Indonesia by sacrificing the West Papuan people to Indonesian rule in the 1962 New York Agreement misrepresented as a peace agreement, but is a Trusteeship arrangement designed according to Chapter XII of the Charter of the United Nations. In violation of international law (UN Charter) our governments and the Secretary General still have not told the Trusteeship Council about the trusteeship arrangement our governments authorised with General Assembly resolution 1752. Today Indonesia remains as the colonial administrator.

BP , Freeport McMoRan (), Korindo , and other foreign corporations including hundreds of Indonesian military concessions are looting West Papua; looting being the act of plunder during a time of war or military occupation.

Represented in America by usindo.org, these corporations want our governments to continue being complicit in murder and looting just as in East Timor from 1975-1999 and in West Papua since 1963.

Indonesian claims General Assembly resolution 2504 endorses its land grab, but the resolution does not and could not as the General Assembly does not have juridiction to decide the soverignty of the US, Europe, or any other countries.
Indonesian claims the UN organised or sponsored the Indonesian 1969 'act of free choice', but it was organised by Lt. General Sarwo Edhie Wibowo who selected 1025 men and had them instructed on consequences to their families, towns and selves if they did not indicate yes when instructed; and then escorted unlucky UN diplomats to watch while under orders of UN Secretary General (U Thant) not to interfere in Indonesia's assumption of colonial domination.
The Indonesian claims do NOT affect West Papua's sovereignty, or the United Nations legal liability for what it has done in 1962 and since. Although the United Nations is hiding the 1962 trusteeship arrangement from the agenda of the UN Trusteeship Council, article 76 of the Charter of the United Nations states the true purpose of UN trust arrangements is to "promote" the "independence" and other items listed in article 76 of the UN Charter.

Indonesia also misdirects people by covertly alleging a MYTH that West Papua was removed from the 'Decolonization Committee' "list". However the 'Decolonization Committee' did not begin operation until a few days AFTER our governments were blackmailed by U Thant to authorise the annexation. Therefore West Papua has never been on the subsequent list, instead West Papua is meant to be on the agenda of the Trusteeship Council so the Council can make its yearly reports (Charter article 88) about West Papua and send a copy of its yearly report to the Committee as well as to the other UN members.

Indonesia has a history of exploiting social media platforms (1,2,3,4,5,6) and people (1,2,3,4,5,6) to mislead others. Like any community, West Papua has its share of people wishing to be 'Big-Men', some call themselves 'President' or 'Minister' of West Papua, or say they are part of a West Papuan government; and unfortunately these political claims obscure the people's rights and the United Nations obligations thereto.

OPM research uncovered the hidden history of the 1960s annexation of West Papua, and if possible identify any legal option that the lawyers had failed to bring to our attention. In 2010 the OPM drafted a UN General Assembly motion that John Ondawame got the Vanuatu Parliament to endorse until a purportedly Indonesian interest swayed the PM to prevent Vanuatu sending that or future motions to the United Nations. In 2012 we discovered the New York Agreement appeared to be a UN Trusteeship agreement, and with additional evidence in 2014 John Ondawame decided to change the agenda of an international gathering, the new agenda would be the launch of our new strategy for regaining West Papua's sovereignty; but several hours later it was reported that John was dead supposedly of a heart attack.
The people of West Papua need to unite, not under want-to-be leaders, presidents or politicians, but unite for Papuan sovereign rights that the other nations and their United Nations are legally obligated to defend. Get the issue of West Papua on the agenda of the UN Trusteeship Council, after that is achieved would be the time for political discussions for a sovereign state that serves West Papuan cultural and social aspirations.

Like the American's 'Declaration of Independence', a 1961 elected West Papuan Council in October 1961 made an equally fine declaration declaring their wish for independence, and while under foreign duress in 1971 in consultation with the previously elected Council the indigenous independence movement OPM made a declaration of purpose equally as fine as the 1961 and American declarations. HOWEVER, designing governance (a future government) that includes executive, legislative, and judicial services will require at least months of West Papuan freedom to undertake.

West Papua is larger than Japan or German, 50% larger than Texas, containing some 420,000 km² of the world's most vital tropical rainforests, moutains, and wetlands.

Papua also known as New Guinea is the world's second largest island, it is on the northern edge of the continental plate slowly moving north and being lifted up. Papua and the Australian continent were colonised by Melanesian ancestors over fifty thousand years ago, later Asian and European incursions failed in West Papua until a Dutch missionary presence was premitted by the West Papuans in the mid 19th century.

In 1895 a European agreement alleged West Papua was a Dutch territory, in 1935 Holland gave a West Papua exploration license to a company (NNGPM) that the Rockefeller family purchased a 60% interest in and which in 1936 illegally with-held discovery of the world's largest gold & copper deposits being found in West Papua.

The Rockefellers could not risk asking for a Dutch or Papuan mining license which could be voided if evidence of the 1936 deception was discovered.

Therefore to gain a secure mining license the Rockefeller and later their Freeport partner (cold-war banker and bonesman Robert Lovett) had fiscal motive to help the creation of the Indonesia military and help Indonesia gain access to West Papua. Unable to act while Imperial Japanese conquests with aid of Indonesian oil put the region in jeopardy, Rockefeller waited while a Ford Foundation scheme for the creation of a colonial Indonesian military regime willing to grant access to Papua's resources. However in 1959 the Dutch revealed they knew there was a huge gold deposit and were searching for the mountain source of the metal littering West Papua's southern coastline.

Within weeks a Freeport director flew to claim the Ertsberg and Grasberg mountains were "possible copper reserves" that the company wanted to mine. At the same time a lawyer at the US Embassy in Jakarta proposed that the US should aid Indonesia with a "special United Nations trusteeship of West New Guinea" which would then grant Indonesia de-facto 'sovereignty' of the colony irrespective of Papuan wishes.

Eventually this illegal misuse of trusteeship was proposed to Indonesia in 1961, six months later the United Nations Secretary General (Dag Hammarskjold) was killed and with Indonesia's help a friend of Indonesia (U Thant) became the new UN Secretary General. It was U Thant who pressed America to help Indonesia get the Dutch to sign the special trusteeship agreement (a.k.a. 'New York Agreement'), U Thant who championed the proposal throughout 1962 and who ambushed the 1962 General Assembly with a request to authorise the UN administration of West Papua with the creation of General Assembly resolution 1752.

Under influence of U Thant the United Nations did not tell the Trusteeship Council about General Assembly resolution 1752, and thereby has allowed Indonesia and others to kill, rape and loot the people and territory of West Papua in violation of international law for the past sixty years.
