holy books and credit cards 1: promises OUT NOW!

Also Eden news

May gigs cancelled

We are genuinely heartbroken to annouce the cancellation of our gigs on May 22, 23 and 24th. Our drummer, Guy, has taken a nasty fall riding, resulting in a

a badly sprained wrist and a dislocated shoulder. The result is that he completely unable to play, meaning we are, too. We all wish him all the best for a speedy and complete recovery.

Our sincere apologies go out to anyone who was planning to come along and, of course, to Forgotten Gods and Dominic Sanderson and band. Hopefully we'll get these dates rearranged for later in the year when Guy is match-fit.

Full refunds will be sent to all ticket holders asap.

holy books and credit cards 1: promises OUT NOW!
The band worked throughout 2024 and 2025 on new material, some of which had already started appearing in the band’s live shows. Collectively, these new songs have become holy books and credit cards, a series of observations about how perceptions of events – from the very personal to the global – shape us into the people we are. The music is at times heavy and at others acoustic. It’s symphonic in its complexity and then it’s as simple as can be. The music is everything you might expect from Also Eden and then considerably more.

The first of these new songs are now available on a four-track EP, holy books and credit cards 1: promises, available now from our Bandcamp page - https://alsoeden.bandcamp.com

The EP is available as a digital download or CD. The track listing is:

‘promises’
‘scented candle corridors’
‘a painter’s hands’
'promises (acoustic)'

A second EP of three songs will be released in May/June and a third in September/October. Each of these will contain three(ish) songs. Being Also Eden, of course, the nine songs are considerably longer than a standard pop song (and then some!).

As they're released, the EPs will be available as CDs or as downloads from our Bandcamp page, For anyone who chooses to buy all three CDs, a special holy books and credit cards slip-case will be available to house the set with the release of the third EP.

To support the launch of the EPS, there will be a few live shows around the release dates. The listed gigs are currently confirmed, though more are to be added. For gig details and tickets, please visit our Tour page.
