"At some point, the crumbs in my handbag really annoyed me. And somehow I found it disgusting."
About 5 years ago Susanne came up with the idea of her clean ball in the subway. There would have to be something that collects crumbs and lint automatically.
A golf ball that Susanne wrapped with double tape. The dirt remained stuck, but unfortunately also the inner lining of the bag.
Only 1 year later, Susanne's friend remembers the idea again and together they started development.
Domestic production of the first 1,000 inner balls
You knew: The adhesive ball must somehow behind grids so that it no longer sticks directly. Together with a CAD designer, they designed the perforated outer shell of the cleaning ball, made in a 3D printer. Then it went to the inner ball. It should definitely be reusable and recyclable material that is easy to clean. After countless tests, the choice fell on TPR.
"But does anyone buy the ball at all?" Again and again they asked themselves this question. They wanted to know more precisely and packed a few clean balls and went to the nearest Christmas market. Beautiful gift! Here suddenly everyone wanted to buy the prototypes.
So it was clear: They keep going. And they do more. Over 1,000 pieces have been created at home in the oven and packed on the kitchen table.
Susanne remembers: "Mostly pancakes have bruzzled at the top - and the clean balls at the bottom."
With its 3.5 cm and 16 grams, it is smaller than a golf ball and really lightweight. So it fits in even the smallest handbag or cosmetic bag.
Thanks to the perforated structure of the outer ball, the dirt particles reach the sticky inner ball and have no chance. Your bag stays clean
The cleaning ball never loses its adhesive strength and is always reusable. Simply rinse under cold, clear water, leave to dry and put back in the bag.
