What does it look like when a student doesn't just use AI but actually understands it? It means they can direct it toward something that matters. Question what it produces. Build with it. That's digital fluency. And it's teachable. At #ISTELive26, we're showing what this looks like in a real classroom — Room W208BC. 📍 Interactive experience outside 📍 Hourly collaborative sessions 📅 June 28–July 1 Learn more at the link in comments!

Welcome to the team, Chuck Melley — CodeAI's new SVP of Policy, Advocacy and Communities. Glad to have you building the future of digital fluency with us.

I’m thrilled to share that I have joined CodeAI as Senior Vice President of Policy, Advocacy and Communities! My career has spanned elections, politics, governing, executive roles in education, and founding my own policy and advocacy firm. Every step has deepened my conviction that education - and the policy shaping it - is the most consequential lever we have as a society. Right now, we are at a critical crossroads. AI isn't coming to education; it’s already here. The decisions we make today about how AI is taught, governed, and integrated will shape an entire generation. CodeAI sits at the center of this moment. With a global reputation for making computer science accessible, this organization has the reach and credibility to ensure every student benefits from AI education. I hit the ground running last week in Brussels, representing CodeAI at the launch of the landmark OECD/European Commission AI Literacy Framework. Discussing the future of learning with global policymakers and educators was a vivid reminder of why this work matters - and why we must act now. To the friends, colleagues, and partners who have supported me along the way - thank you. Let’s build the future of education together. #CodeAI #AIEducation #EdTech #Policy #OECD #AILiteracy #NewChapter

Teachers from 53 countries around the world applied to bring digital fluency education to their communities. Every year, CodeAI's International Facilitator Training program certifies educators to deliver AI professional learning independently in their own regions. This year, we had a large increase in applications for our AI curriculum track — with organizations representing more than 5,000 facilitators applying to take part. The demand for educators who can teach AI is real, it's growing, and it's global. Thank you to everyone who applied.

What if, instead of preparing students to adapt to AI, we empowered them to shape how it evolves? The AILit Framework is now available! Developed by the European Commission and the OECD Education and Skills with CodeAI and international experts, it defines the knowledge, skills, and attitudes students need to navigate and actively participate in a world influenced by AI. Built with input from educators and stakeholders worldwide, the framework reflects real classroom priorities and the opportunities and challenges of AI in education. Explore the framework at ailiteracyframework.org! #AILiteracy #AILitFramework
