We had a great Code4Y’all meetup: AI Today, AI Tomorrow: Tools, Limits, and Direction. The session brought together people with different levels of AI experience, from those actively building and applying AI to those exploring how these tools may affect their work and industry. What made the meetup especially valuable was the discussion. We talked about what AI can realistically do today, where the limits still are, which tools are ready for practical use, and where the field may be heading next. There were many thoughtful questions, honest perspectives, and useful ideas about AI in real-world work, including productivity, software development, business workflows, healthcare, ethics, and responsible adoption. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and helped make this meetup engaging and practical. AI is moving quickly, but conversations like this help us slow down, think clearly, and make better decisions about how to use it. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Code4Yall #HoustonTech #TechMeetup #AITools #FutureOfWork #ResponsibleAI

  • Join Code4Y’all for a focused session on the current state and future of AI. We will break down what AI can actually do today, where it delivers real value, and what is likely coming next. This is a practical, discussion-driven meetup with real examples, limitations, and use cases from people actively working with AI. If you are building, analyzing, or planning to use AI, this session will help you make clearer decisions. https://lnkd.in/g5UcEkTp

  • Join us at Code4Y’all at Improving on April 6 for “Gardens, Not Platforms: Leveraging AI to Design a Better Future” with Megan Ducote (Oak AI, Co-Founder and Head of Design). We will explore how today’s AI incentives shape outcomes, why the default trajectory is fragile, and how to design more relational, human-centered systems. https://lnkd.in/ghR82BC7

  • Inspiring conversations at Code4Y’all 🚀 We had a great session with Bilal Memon , who shared valuable insights on “How to Start Your Entrepreneurial Journey in the Tech Industry.” The talk covered real experiences — from taking the first step in tech, to overcoming challenges, building projects, and turning ideas into something meaningful. It was especially powerful to hear practical advice and honest lessons from the journey. Thank you to everyone who joined us — your questions, energy, and engagement made this session even more impactful. Events like this remind us how important it is to learn, connect, and grow together as a community. Looking forward to more sessions like this 💡

  • Thank you to everyone who joined our "Houston Makerspaces: Build, Prototype, Launch" meetup. All key links and resources from the meetup are available on our website. We encourage you to review them. https://lnkd.in/geTc_Fbg A special thank you to Charlie Lindahl for delivering a practical and insightful overview of Houston’s makerspace ecosystem, covering nonprofit spaces, universities, community colleges, and even library makerspaces. The discussion made it clear that access to tools and community can dramatically lower the barrier to building physical products. It was great to see such strong engagement from attendees, who asked thoughtful questions about prototyping, manufacturing, and turning ideas into real-world projects. As manufacturing gradually returns to the U.S., makerspaces may become an increasingly important starting point for future startups and hardware innovation. Thank everyone who participated and contributed to another successful Code4Y’all meetup. Looking forward to the next one.   #Code4Yall #Makerspace #HoustonTech #Manufacturing #Startup #Innovation

  • Makerspace Meetup (Houston) – Code4Y’all Want access to tools like 3D printing, laser cutting, welding, woodworking, electronics, and more? Join our meetup to learn how Houston makerspaces work and what you can build. Our speaker Charlie Lindahl will guide us through local makerspaces and answer questions. With manufacturing returning to the U.S., this could be a great starting point for your next prototype—or even a startup. #Code4Yall #Makerspace #HoustonTech #Innovation https://lnkd.in/g33kMiez

  • Join us on February 17th at 7 PM for Code4Y’all The Woodlands Tacos & Code at Sparksuite 🌮💻   Bob Entwhistle will give a talk on MythBlazor, an experimental frontend for the MythTV DVR built using the Microsoft Blazor framework. • Thank you to everyone who attended our AI Tools & Real-World Comparisons meetup. The discussion, questions, and shared experiences made this session especially valuable, and it was great to see the momentum carry over from our previous meetup at The Ion. A special thank-you to He Zhu for documenting the event and capturing the energy of the meetup through his camera work. Your contribution helps us extend the experience beyond the room and share it with the wider community. For those who couldn’t attend or want to revisit the discussion, the meetup video is now available on our YouTube channel. https://lnkd.in/gQpv5bJz   We appreciate everyone who joined us, shared insights, and helped make this another strong Code4Y’all gathering. More meetups and conversations are coming soon. We look forward to seeing you again.
