The developer community surprised us at DeveloperWeek 2026. Builders created agents powered by live web access, and what came back spanned three completely different industries. 🥇 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗤 by William Cheung An AI-native sales intelligence platform that goes from ICP to account discovery, buying signals, and outreach recommendations in about a minute. From account discovery to signal detection, Nimble surfaces the live web data that powers the pipeline. 🥈 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽-𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 by Arya Rahimi A startup validation platform that researches markets, competitors, and business opportunities so founders can evaluate ideas faster. Every verdict is backed by live competitor pricing, real demand signals, and fresh market context pulled directly from the web. - https://lnkd.in/gP2vWGCK ⭐ 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲: 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹.𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 by Rhea Shastri Real-time sports intelligence for the World Cup. Match news, injury updates, lineup insights, and predictions. Every response reflects what is actually happening right now, grounded in live web context rather than what a model learned during training. - https://lnkd.in/gkRN_fgU Sales intelligence. Startup validation. Sports intelligence. Three different use cases, and the same foundation underneath all three: when developers build AI apps that need to reason about the present, live web access is what makes them work. Congratulations to William Cheung, Arya Rahimi, and Rhea S., and to all participants in the DeveloperWeek 2026 Virtual Hackathon. • We're halfway through the Alibaba Cloud QwenCloud hackathon! Here's a quick look at what each track is asking developers to actually solve: → MemoryAgent: Persistent memory with smart forgetting, cross-session, inside a limited context window. → AI Showrunner: A fully autonomous pipeline from script to final cut using Wan — narrative coherence and multimodal orchestration under a token budget. → Agent Society: Multiple agents with distinct roles, resolving conflicts, decomposing tasks. with a measurable efficiency baseline to beat. → Autopilot Agent: End-to-end business workflow automation. Ambiguous inputs, external tools, human-in-the-loop. Design for production-readiness. → EdgeAgent: Qwen on physical devices. Edge-cloud orchestration under real bandwidth and latency constraints with graceful degradation offline.   $43K+ in prizes + QwenCloud credits. Deadline: Jul 9. Link to register in the comments!

  • The GitLab Transcend Hackathon is live and it’s built around a simple idea: AI is only as good as the context it has. GitLab Orbit is the new context layer for your SDLC! A structured, queryable knowledge graph that helps agents understand code, merge requests, pipelines, deployments, vulnerabilities, and ownership. Two ways to get involved and start building: - Contribute Track: pick up a hackathon-labeled issue, ship a merge request, and contribute directly to GitLab Orbit. - Showcase Track: build an agent, flow, or skill on the GitLab Duo Agent Platform that uses Orbit to solve a real dev problem. Whether you’re beginner dev or seasoned pro, this is a chance to learn how better context changes what AI can do in real software workflows. 💰 $20K in prizes 🗓️ Submissions close June 24, 2026 Link to register and start building in the comments! 👇

  • Enterprise AI hackathons are scaling quickly. AI-focused internal hackathons grew 83% year over year in 2025, as more companies bring employees together to build with AI. What those teams are building has shifted decisively from exploration to production: agentic tools that automate workflows, triage tickets, and flag compliance issues are now the fastest-growing category in enterprise hackathon submissions. The AI Trends Report 2026 has the data on what's driving that shift. Link in the comments.
