Fast fashion has accelerated a growing waste challenge — and textile recycling is becoming an increasingly important part of the conversation. Our latest Clean Fuel for Thought explores the environmental impact of textile waste, the evolving textile recycling industry, and how partnerships and policy are helping divert usable materials from landfills. The report also highlights our partnership with Helpsy® and the impact we’ve made together across our retail network: • 840,000+ pounds of clothing collected • 7.4 million kg CO₂e emissions avoided • 106 million+ gallons of water saved Learn more about how circular solutions can help communities grow, move, and thrive. https://bit.ly/43bZqVU

  • Appreciate you sharing this and helping keep textiles out of the trash!

Spring cleaning was a little more meaningful this year. I dropped off some clothes at a Helpsy® bin down in Lancaster. A capstone project from students in the Villanova Executive MBA Program inspired me to bring these clothes! It’s such a great example of how classroom ideas can drive real-world impact. For those who aren’t familiar, Helpsy is a textile recycling company focused on keeping clothing out of landfills by collecting, reusing, and repurposing items. Even clothes that aren’t in great condition can often be recycled into new materials, making it an easy way to reduce waste and support a more circular economy.

  • Last month, we hosted a clothing drive with the Radnor HS Band & Color Guard and were thrilled to have one of our newest drivers there to represent Helpsy with great pride, energy and positivity. On his first clothing drive run, Christopher helped divert nearly 4,000 lbs of textiles and additional 125 lbs of suitcases, from the waste stream. A great start, and a strong example of what’s possible when communities come together with the right support. Thank you to the Radnor HS Band & Color Guard for organizing and to everyone who participated. Interested in hosting a drive? Reach out to us at info@helpys.co. We’d love to partner. #clothesarenttrash #clothingdrive #communityimpact

  • Earlier this week, our Chief of Staff, Lisa Sciannella, had the opportunity to visit a Master’s of Business Analytics classroom at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business to talk about the realities of textile waste and the role data can play in solving it. It is always encouraging to see how engaged students are on this topic. The conversation went far beyond awareness. Students asked thoughtful questions, challenged assumptions, and shared creative ideas around how analytics, technology, and business strategy can improve outcomes across the used clothing system. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of these conversations and excited to see the next generation bringing fresh perspective and energy to the work of keeping textiles out of the trash. #clothesarenttrash #Sustainability #DataAnalytics #Reuse

  • From national conversations to local impact. Community clothing drives like the “Tons of Textiles” events hosted in partnership with Frederick County have been highlighted on a national stage, including at Waste Expo in Las Vegas during a panel titled “Tons of Textiles: Textile Waste, Consumer Behavior, and Community Solutions.” Yesterday, we were back in Frederick County seeing that impact firsthand. These drives make it easy for communities to keep textiles out of the trash and give them a second life. Interested in getting involved? • We are grateful to be featured in this recent article by THE CITY about how New Yorkers can give their clothing and textiles a next life and what happens after those items are collected. At Helpsy, our mission is to keep clothes out of the trash, create honorable work, and keep textiles in circulation as long as possible through reuse. Through our partnership with the NYC Department of Sanitation, we help make textile recycling accessible across New York City with collection bins at buildings throughout the city. As our CEO Dan Green shared in the article, clothing collection, sorting and reuse takes real people and real work, but that work creates jobs and keeps millions of pounds of textiles out of landfills each year. Thank you to THE CITY for highlighting textile reuse and helping educate New Yorkers on how to give their clothes another life and how buildings in NYC can join the program: https://lnkd.in/eKkvXWfn Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eJ9bYqmc

  • Keeping clothing in circulation and supporting local communities is central to Helpsy’s mission and deeply meaningful to our cofounders. We’re proud to create honorable work and collaborate with partners like Global Partners LP Sustainability at Global who genuinely care about making a difference. Many thanks to Dan Green, Caleb Hoey, Nicole Pellagrino, Lisa Sciannella and the entire Global team for rolling up their sleeves and making this impact happen.

We recently teamed up with Helpsy® for a hands-on volunteer effort focused on warmth and community.   Global employees volunteered at Helpsy’s sorting center in Woburn, Massachusetts, helping sort, organize, and prepare 640 donated coats collected through our winter coat drive. Donations came from our Waltham office and participating Alltown Fresh® and Alltown® locations across the Commonwealth—a true companywide effort.   After sorting, our team delivered the coats to Chelsea Community Action Programs Inter-City, Incorporated (CAPIC), where they’ll be distributed to local families and individuals in need, helping keep the community warm throughout the winter season.   We’re proud to partner with organizations like Helpsy and CAPIC, and grateful to our employees who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and helped turn generosity into action. This is what it looks like to put our energy to work in the communities where we live and work.

  • We’re proud to share that our CEO and cofounder Dan Green, has been named to @Big Path Capital’s 2026. #MO100 Top Impact CEO list.
