Preventing transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B from mother to baby is one of the most powerful ways to improve the health of women and newborns. Triple elimination (HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B) is a cost-effective approach that saves lives and is one of the smartest investments countries can make in maternal and newborn health to ensure healthy futures for women, their children, and their families. Achieving it requires integrated, people-centered care delivered through primary health care platforms, sustainable financing, and cross-sector collaboration driven by governments and communities. If you’re attending AIDS 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, join us for this pre-conference session on strengthening and scaling triple elimination. We would love to see you there! 📅Sunday, July 26, 2026 ⏲️ 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM BRT 📍 Room 203, Riocentro Convention & Event Center, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/e8p3Zm7p Unitaid | International Community of Women living with HIV Eastern Africa - ICWEA | The World Hepatitis Alliance | Evidence Action | World Health Organization | Pan American Health Organization | International AIDS Society | Kimberly Green | Dr. Albert Komba | Lisa Mueller Scott | ISLAM Tauhidul | Katharine Shelley | Lillian Mworeko | Jessica Hicks | Camila Picchio #AIDS2026

Standing outside a rural clinic in #Zambia, PATH’s Chief Global Health Programs Officer, Kammerle Schneider, noticed something striking: every person waiting for care was a woman. Some were pregnant. Others were bringing children for vaccinations or picking up medicine for family members. Kammerle reflects on why health systems must do a better job of serving the very people they depend on most. And why putting women and girls at the center is critical to achieving better health for all. 🔗Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eEvCaGMZ #PATH2030 #GlobalHealth

With just five years remaining to achieve 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, #UHC, and #NCD fast-track targets, now is the time to turn global commitments into country-led action. Next week, more than 70 leaders from Coalition members and partners—including senior health and finance officials from seven African countries—will gather in Nairobi for the 2026 Coalition Annual Meeting. Together, we will take stock of progress since the #HLM4 and identify practical actions to accelerate equitable access to NCD medicines, products, and care. Through regional collaboration, innovative financing, stronger supply chains, and shared learning, the meeting will help shape the partnerships and solutions needed to deliver measurable progress towards 2030. 👟🎽In Vietnam, something simple is making a big difference: more opportunities for people to move, play, and be active. Across schools and communities, the Community Sport and Health Cooperation Initiative is helping make sport and physical activity a regular part of everyday life. It does this through communication campaigns, school and community programs, nationwide competitions, practical sport-for-health resources, and the innovative “School Sports Ambassador” model—helping young people build healthier habits and lead more active lives. And the impact is clear: ✅1.2 million+ people reached through engagement activities ✅229,000+ students and community members supported to stay physically active ✅20.6% increase in students meeting recommended physical activity levels Implemented by PATH, the Sports Authority of Vietnam, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, World Health Organization, the Vietnam Olympic Committee, and other partners. Vietnam is one of five countries, including Ghana, Nepal, Peru, and Tanzania, that are implementing the Sport and Health Cooperation Initiative as part of the International Olympic Committee – IOC’s Olympism365 strategy. Together, these efforts are demonstrating what is possible when the sport, health, and education sectors come together around a shared goal: healthier, more active lives for young people. Beyond its measurable impact in Vietnam, the initiative has generated valuable lessons, with government representatives and local partners endorsing it as a promising model for informing policy and scaling up sport-for-health approaches across Vietnam. 📸Swipe for more insights Angela Pratt | Susanne Gaerte | Le Hien | Nhu Nguyen | Helen McGuire | Roshini George | Ha Nguyen

Getting vaccines to every child is not always as simple as it sounds. 💉🌍 For many children, especially in hard-to-reach communities, the challenge is not whether vaccines exist, but whether they can get to them in good condition, at the right time and place. That is why strong supply chains matter so much. Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, has launched its new 6.0 Immunization Supply Chain Strategy, a five-year plan to help countries improve how vaccines are stored, transported, and delivered. It focuses on country-led solutions, stronger partnerships, and better use of data to guide decision-making and improve results. PATH is proud to support Gavi and partners in this work to strengthen routine immunization, improve supply chains, and help reach children who are still missing out on lifesaving vaccines. 📖Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eBH4Uza5 Matt Morio | Melissa Wanda | Kelly Healy

In many parts of western #Kenya, getting tested for TB often means traveling long distances and facing delays in care. But that is beginning to change. Through PATH’s Nuru Ya Mtoto project, two AI-enabled portable digital X-ray machines have been introduced to help health workers detect TB earlier and faster in local communities. These machines can screen over 100 people a day, helping clinicians quickly identify potential TB cases and refer patients for confirmatory testing and treatment. Now deployed in Vihiga and Kakamega counties, this technology is making TB screening more accessible, efficient, and lifesaving. TB remains a serious health challenge, especially for people living with HIV, but innovations like this are helping bring early detection and treatment closer to those who need it most. 📈In 2025, this project screened 88,312 people, identified thousands of TB cases, and linked patients to care. 📖Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/exin3_Nv 🖊️Written by Denise Akun and Jackson T. ⏩Share this post to spread awareness about how AI is transforming global health.

Behind every innovation is a simple question: will it reach the people who need it? We are working to make sure the answer is yes. PATH’s 2030 strategy is focused on making that happen through stronger systems, deeper partnerships, and more equitable access to care. 📽️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/efGCvE7J #PATH2030 #GlobalHealth
