A new Massachusetts Institute of Technology study puts hard numbers on catastrophic AI risk. ☠️ Specifically, experts claimed that 18 of the 24 AI risk categories have over a 10% chance of catastrophic outcomes. Normally, this would cause intensive regulatory scrutiny. But AI governance is still in early stages. While many regulatory frameworks have emerged around the world, most are voluntary or principle-based, with limited enforcement. So, most governments are still trying to figure out how to oversee AI in practice. And the MIT raises an even bigger question: Do AI governance efforts respond to the full range of risks or primarily to those that align with existing security frameworks? ✍️ Kinza Yasar dives deeper into why expert warnings aren't translating into regulatory action and enterprise governance. 🔗 : https://bit.ly/44bJvHw #AI #AIgovernance #AIregulations #AIscrutiny #AIrisks #AIsecurity #AIchallenges #AIresearch #MIT #MITresearch #TechRegulations #EnterpriseAI

⛰️ Enterprises are hitting a plateau with AI productivity. This is commonly due to poor strategy, leadership gaps and insufficient change management. So, what can IT leaders do about it? To start, they must stop treating AI deployments like typical technology implementations. Organizations can't just buy and deploy the tools and immediately witness a successful transformation. Organizations can no longer assume all employees are natural innovators or deploy AI to be like everybody else. AI requires fundamental change. ✍️ Jim O'Donnell explores this concept further. 🔗 : https://bit.ly/3RRXwYl #EnterpriseAI #AIplateau #AIskills #AI #AIstrategy #ITleadership #ITstrategy #CIO #CIOstrategy #EnterpriseIT

💰 What does a CX buying committee look like these days? (Hint: It's not just contact center leaders.) These days, several stakeholders in an organization have input into CX technology buying decisions. They include IT, finance, legal, executives and lines of business, with different insights or concerns on the tech investment. In order for these assorted but integrated entities to reach a consensus on a buying decision, CX vendors need to illustrate the different value propositions for each stakeholder. That's a tough job. But CX vendors need to understand enterprises' tech-buying committee approach. ✍️ Jon Arnold addresses this topic in his latest tip. 🔗 : https://bit.ly/4fG2mBK #ContactCenters #CustomerExperience #CX #CXleadership #CXstrategy #CustomerService #CXbuying #CXinvestments #ITinvestment #ITbudgets

🤕 Have you ever imagined a world where IT systems can heal themselves? Well, you're in luck, because we're living in it. IT environments are growing in complexity, so organizations must evolve past traditional automation for resilience, reduced downtime and decreased operational strain. Self-healing IT systems can find and fix problems with minimal human intervention, with the help of AI, automation and real-time observability. They can also reduce downtime, improve security and scale operations across hybrid environments. So, what does it take to reach this self-healing state? ✍️ Damon Garn dives deeper into this concept. 🔗 : https://bit.ly/43lF78H #IToperations #ITleadership #SelfHealingIT #EnterpriseIT #EnterpriseAI #ITautomation #EnterpriseTech #ITobservability

🌐 Is it possible to move AI compute closer to where data is generated to cut down on power demand? Meet edge computing. By definition, edge computing processes client data at the periphery of the network, as close to the source as possible. This is compared to cloud computing, which requires data to travel to a distant server, when then uses more power. Edge AI can enhance sustainability, as it reduces data transmission energy, optimizes local processing and minimizes cooling needs. However, edge computing is not a panacea to all the technology's sustainability problems. ✍️ Sean M. Kerner dives deeper on edge computing and AI. 🔗 : https://bit.ly/4fwrfja #EdgeComputing #EdgeAI #AIsustainability #BusinessSustainability #CorporateSustainability #AIstrategy #AIworkloads #AI #ITstrategy #ITsustainability
