We are Maine's only transgender and nonbinary led organization specifically focused on supporting transgender and nonbinary people. Your participation in our programming, and monetary and in-kind support, help us to ensure that trans people in every corner of Maine have at least one place in our lives where we are able to safely and fully be ourselves. Our work is centered on creating supportive community spaces for trans people of all ages, our families, and our allies. We also work to increase access to healthcare, wellness, and social services through our extensive training and technical assistance program rooted in the spirit of transgender cultural humility and provide advocacy through our legislative coalition, community organizing, and mutual aid work.

You can schedule a donation of seasonally appropriate adult-sized clothing, footwear, and accessories with our thrift shop, Safe Combinations! Please note that donation appointments fill up fast for our two-month scheduling window, so you may need to check back.
We also welcome you to sign up for a volunteer shift at Safe Combinations by joining MTN on POINT, our volunteer scheduling app!
We Love to Receive Mail
Please direct donations and other communications by mail to 15 Casco Street, Portland, ME 04101. ONLY gender-affirming garments such as binders, gaffs, and TransTape may be donated to Safe Combinations by mail or without an appointment; we request all other physical donations to our thrift shop be made in-person, by appointment, at Safe Combinations.
We also welcome gifts, including of gender affirming garments, from our wish list.
