Deadline for Entries July 31st
Filmmakers, Screenwriters and Musicians have until July 31st to get their work into NYC if they hope to be part of the 29th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival.

Attention Filmmakers. All Finalists' Films will become eligible to enter the Oscars 2027!
Every Film Selected for MANHATTAN SHORT 2026 will be Automatically Qualified to enter the Oscars of 2027. MANHATTAN SHORT does a full week's advertised run at a cinema in the Bay Area of San Francisco. This advertised run automatically qualifies each selected film for the Oscars of 2027.

You Be the Judge! Who determines the winners of MANHATTAN SHORT? A worldwide audience. AWARD QUALIFYING RUN

MANHATTAN SHORT 2026 will run for one full week at a Cinema in the county of Los Angeles. This theater booking means every film selected as a FINALIST in the 2026 MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival will be eligible to enter the Oscar competition for 2027. Numerous past finalists from MANHATTAN SHORT have gone onto be nominated and even win the Oscar the following year.

Filmmakers have until midnight July 31st to submit their short film. There are no late deadlines. We accept all genres. Films must be 20 minutes and under (excluding credits).
