Tata Sierra EV: Complete price details, all variants covered

If you are planning to buy the Tata Sierra EV, understanding the variant-wise pricing is the first step. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles offers the electric SUV in five variants with two battery pack options, with introductory prices ranging from Rs 18.79 lakh to Rs 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sierra EV is also available with Tata Motors' Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system on the Empowered A variant. Buyers opting for the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version will have to pay an additional Rs 1.2 lakh, taking the ex-showroom price to Rs 25.99 lakh.

The company is offering a 7.2 kW AC fast charger as an optional accessory at an additional cost of Rs 49,000, excluding installation charges.
Tata Sierra EV battery options and range
The Tata Sierra EV comes with two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack options -- 63 kWh and 75 kWh.

The entry-level Pure and Pure S variants are available only with the 63 kWh battery pack. Buyers opting for the Adventure and Empowered variants can choose either the 63 kWh or the larger 75 kWh battery, while the top-spec Empowered A is offered exclusively with the 75 kWh battery.

The 63 kWh battery pack offers a claimed MIDC-certified range of 565 km, while the 75 kWh unit delivers a claimed range of 665 km. Tata Motors claimed the larger battery can deliver a real-world range of 510-530 km, while the 63 kWh version is expected to return 440-460 km under real-world driving conditions.

The Sierra EV supports 120 kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in around 26 minutes. The company claimed that the SUV can add up to 263 km of range in just 15 minutes using a compatible DC fast charger.
Tata Sierra EV performance
The Sierra EV is available in both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) configurations.

The dual-motor version develops 306 PS and 504 Nm of torque. According to Tata Motors, it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.8 seconds with Boost Mode. It also gets six terrain modes, off-road assist, around 205 mm of ground clearance and more than 50% restart gradability.

The Sierra EV gets a triple-screen dashboard comprising a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen and a dedicated passenger display. Other highlights include a 12-speaker JBL Black audio system with Dolby Atmos and SonicShaft soundbar, a PanoraMax panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with thigh support extender, powered gesture tailgate and a 622-litre boot, which Tata Motors claimed is the largest in the segment.

Technology features include AirConsole in-car gaming, a HypAR head-up display, Digi Access, Auto Park Assist, Summon Mode, DrivePay for in-car UPI payments, an Intelligent EV Route Planner for Android Auto, more than 70 connected car features through the iRA.ev platform and over-the-air software updates.

The electric SUV also gets Level 2+ ADAS with 22 advanced driver assistance features, a 540-degree HD surround-view camera with Transparent Mode, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging functionality.
Tata Sierra EV bookings, warranty and colours
Bookings for the Tata Sierra EV are now open, while customer deliveries will begin from July 15. The SUV is backed by a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, which is essentially for 15 years for the first owner, subject to terms and conditions.

The Sierra EV is offered in seven exterior colour options -- Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturne. Rishikesh Rapids is exclusive to the Empowered variant, while Nainital Nocturne is reserved for the top-spec Empowered A QWD.
