Hi. I'm Diana, creator and doer of All of the Things at As the Crow Flies Studio. Welcome! It's awesome and humbling and - insert word for feelings too complicated to really articulate - that you're here. Thanks for coming and joining your dollar to those in my hat. Those dollars allow me to turn more fine junk into fine art AND STILL EAT FOOD. Because, important. This is probably the part where I belch out some very posh sounding artist statement-like thing to make you think I am very deep indeed, and make work too profound to be remotely comprehensible. Yeeeeah, I've never been able to write an artist statement, if I'm being completely honest. Though technically what I do does fall under the wide and welcoming umbrella of surrealism, so it may well be incomprehensible. But that's what makes it fun! I basically like to glue dead things to shit. I love the graceful architecture of bone and use a ton of bone in my work. I love verdigris and old wood and rusty metal. I love books gone soft and crumbly with age and broken antique china and tarnished silver. I love creepy toys from the 20s that make you think they're totally haunted. If it can be scavenged from a disused barn, attic or basement, found in the woods after the living thing that grew it has died, or stumbled across in a freaky little junk shop that just screams "There's a corpse in that armoire!", I want to make it into art. There's a visual poem to be found in the right juxtaposition of objects and it's my pleasure to find it. It may not be a story everyone reads the same way, but story telling with junk is my JAM, and I'm gonna tell it anyway. Sometimes to the deep perturbation of my beloved family members. You're here because you want to be a part of supporting an artistic journey. On behalf of every one of us everyday weirdos making a living in this unpredictable, slightly dodgy, occasionally disreputable but very definitely rewarding field, I thank you. On behalf of myself, I love you for wanting to support mine. Even if we've never met. Even if we never will. It's because of you that I can live and create. That's immense. That's epic. You're a rockstar.

Hello Ghost! The Ghost Tier is an in between tier, with all the digital benefits of the tier above it, but none of the physical rewards. It's a nice little middle ground for those who want to be a little more supportive than the $1 tier, but for whom $5 is an intimidating pledge amount. Because who doesn't love ghosts? I mean, I am not that person.

I'm feelin' the love! Thank you! This level of patronage gets you all the same things as level 1, plus a yearly sake cup hand made by moi. And also access to random videos of randomness. There may be "How To Junk" videos, or DIY ones, or "This Is How You Make This Thing" ones. I don't know. I'm making this up as I go.

Level 2

Hello there, sexy beasts. You're awesome and I love you! Third tier has access to all the goods one and two has, exclusive content and first dibs, skills videos, a yearly sake cup, coffee cup, some other random ceramic thing. Or possibly art! Or a mix of both! It will be a surprise!

Level 3 

You are so awesome! Thank you! 
Level 3 art peeps get everything levels 1, 2 and 3 get of course. 
And once a year I will send you a Weird Thing In The Mail! It could be a babydoll head, art, bones, a small bottle full of mummified mouse, a vintage gas mask. Who knows! But we all love surprises, right? You will also get a 10% discount on any art you wish to buy!

Level 4

You guys are amazing! For this incredible generosity, I bring you the joys of the previous levels, blogs, previews, videos, swag of many kinds, Weird Things in the Mail, and a yearly art! It may be a lovely 2D print, a mixed media, or ink and watercolor piece, or whatever other thing I manage to concoct. Because variety is the spice of life.

Level 5

How do I thank you for this kind of support? Cookies? First born? Well I'll start by telling you how grateful I am for you, my unicorns. And also tell you that you get all the things the other levels have access to, videos, blogs, discounts on workshops and art and your very own Weird Thing in the Mail. But ALSO, a yearly box of arty objects, curated by me for you, and we can make art together (or just talk about season whatever of Outlander) on quarterly live chats just for the Level 4 patrons.
