Here is why we need your help! Paying Collective Staffers We have been able to intermittently pay our two collective staffers since in the last year and would love to be more consistent funded so that we are compensating folks generously for their labor. These two collective staffers have previously volunteered for years. Our goal is to change this and pay each staffer and collective member for their work. We value the time and resources it takes to keep the collective running and believe wholeheartedly that folx should be paid for their labor. We'd also like to pay for better resources &amp; tools to deliver more quality in our offerings. Running Expenses All of RLBC runs on the gear that collective members pay for themselves. We'd love to fund our own apps and whatever other resources we need. From Quickbooks to G-suite to Canva to Adobe. We'd love to hire graphic designers and copywriters etc rather than continually asking folks to donate their services. Petty Cash/Emergency fund We would like to set aside an emergency fund in case a laptop breaks, equipment malfunctions, the website needs an SQL optimization (which can cost thousands), or any other urgent related expense that happens due to acts of God or forces of nature. This emergency fund would hold a balance of $25,000. This is what we believe will set us up with a good foundation to keep moving forward with our goals. With your continued support and investment, we would be able offer so much more while continuing to be in alignment with our mission and values. We support BIQTPOC in every stage of reproductive life, and uplift and empower one another and our communities in our respective ancestral traditions. Vision We envision a world where our birth is personal again, rooted again in our ancestral medicine and practices, and “doulas” are no longer needed. RLBC is committed to the liberation of all peoples from cycles which result in reproductive injustices. We envision a world where our community is skilled and knowledgeable in holding one another through life cycles, where people navigate their reproductive and life milestones feeling safe, supported, and connected with their communities.
