In honour of National Indigenous People’s Day, The Hello Crows share their new single “Pull Me Away” A dynamic Indigenous songwriting collective hailing from their Wabanaki homeland in New Brunswick, The Hello Crows united to become one by blending personal stories of resilience and cultural connection into their music. “Pull Me Away” follows their acclaimed self-titled debut which was released on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day last year.

Hailing from their Wabanaki homeland in New Brunswick, The Hello Crows are a dynamic Indigenous songwriting collective, that united to become one by blending personal stories of resilience, and cultural connection into their music. Their debut single Come Back To Me (2024) reached the top 10 on the National Indigenous Chart and won 2025 Song of the Year at Music/Musique New Brunswick Awards. Their self-titled debut album, released September 30, 2025, is the first from Castle Records, the Maritimes’ first Indigenous label. The Hello Crows were also recently chosen to serve as Artist Ambassadors for the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, where they stand in support of truth, healing and the ongoing journey towards reconciliation.

The Hello Crows have never just been a band. The Indigenous collective from Fredericton, New Brunswick formed after its members connected at an Indigenous songwriters’ circle. Through sharing their stories about their lives and collaborating on stage, the musicians realized that they could form both a band and a safe space for them to re-approach their Indigenous heritage. The Hello Crows members Quinn Bonnell and Dylan Ward join Tom Power to discuss their debut album, how they’re reconnecting to their culture and winning song of the year at the Music New Brunswick Awards.
