CDEV 91: Early Childhood Administration II
City College of San Francisco
August 20- December 22, 2026
Offered on Thursday evenings from 6:10-9:00pm at the Ocean Campus, this course explores administration, supervision, and management of early childhood education programs with an emphasis on daily operations and human relations, including staffing; family involvement; and developing communication guidelines for director/teacher, teacher/teacher, and teacher/family.

CDEV 92: Health, Safety, and Nutrition
August 25- December 22, 2026
Offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:10-9:00pm at the Ocean Campus, this course provides an introduction to laws, regulations, standards, curriculum, policies, and procedures related to health, safety, and nutrition for all children. We will examine physical health, mental health, and safety for children and staff and collaboration with families and health professionals.

CDEV 125: Children’s Emotional Development
September 28- November 8, 2026
Offered on five Monday evenings from 6:10-9:30pm at the John Adams Campus, this course examines children's emotional development and will facilitate building strong early childhood programs, relationships, and meeting children's social and academic needs. We will take a deep dive into understanding children's behaviors that are challenging for adults and strategies to use in the classroom and at home. This course is part of the Certificate of Achievement in Special Education: Early Intervention.
Diablo Valley College, Online
ECE 130: Child, Family, and Community
August 24- December 11, 2026
Offered in a fully online format, this course presents an examination of societal influences and role of collaboration between family, community, and schools in supporting children’s development from birth to adolescence. This course meets licensing requirements for DSS II, Child, Family, and Community.
