    The upper class residents of Hiranandani did not allow the women of Jai Bhim Nagar to participate in the gathering they organised to condemn the rape of a doctor in Kolkata. There is exclusion and untouchability even in protests of the upper class.

    Hiranandani residents held a protest for the safety of women, condemning the rape of a doctor in Kolkata. When women residents of Jai Bhim Nagar, wanted to join the protest, they were denied permission and accused of "hijacking" the protest. /3 Via @\jaibhimnagar_bachav on Insta

    The SC/ST cell of IIT Bombay is still not given a physical space by the institute. Even for the cows, IIT Bombay has provided 4000+sqft space for gaushala, but won't provide space for the 2000+ Dalit Bahujan Adivasi students @Profdilipmandal @aiobcsa @ambedkariteIND @TheShudra

    SC/ST students cell of @iitbombay is conducting an open house on caste where students can come and express their experiences and concerns, and talk openly about caste on campus, the first event of this kind by any IIT in the last 60 years. We want other IITs to do the same.

    @iitbombay has pushed it's worker for 39 years, Raman Garase, to suicide, by denying him his rightful gratuity, even after labour courts ordered them to do so. Tragically, on the international labour day, which honours the contribution of workers and labour movements world-wide.

    Rats and dogs eating from the plates doesn't bother the hygiene committee of @iitbombay. Eating non-veg food is the most unhygienic thing imaginable according to their casteist logic. The savarnas and their notion of purity is only to exclude the DBA students from their spaces.
