I asked them privately to remove all uses of my artwork in their content within 48 hours. They never complied. Check this google docs document where I provide all the screenshots and go over this whole situation step by step: (7/7)

On November 13, 2023. I created a short 4 second animation of a cat partying and posted it on TikTok, Instagram reels and YouTube Shorts. I labelled it “Kitty party”. (2/7)

This is the animation that was turned into crypto and named “bopcat”. I never intended for it to be affiliated with any cryptocurrency and I never gave approval or consent for anyone to make a crypto coin out of it. Here is the account that promotes it to this day (3/7)

I made a Google Docs document where I broke down our private exchanges and this whole situation in more details with screenshots and many other points. In short, their private messages struck me as manipulative and untrustworthy. (6/7)

Their usual content doesn’t revolve around promoting cryptocurrency explicitly, and it looks innocent on the surface. However, they promote it in their profile. And their older posts on Twitter were promoting crypto made out of my cat in the content as well. (4/7)

Unfortunately I was barely active on social media during that time and missed them doing what they were doing. They have gained over 500k followers across all their social media pages within 7 months and formed a whole team to manage it. (5/7)

    1) Even IF they didn’t create the crypto coin, they were still promoting it without my approval. 2) Just because you offered me tokens doesn’t mean I have to take them. Was my artwork stolen? Yes. Were these pages promoting the crypto coin? Yes. So what’s untrue about this?
