The reason mcp pair programming with Claude works so well is context. The repo prompt chat is just much more effective and managing task context then an agent thread, and implementation is much more focused while retaining the complete picture.

Just release Repo Prompt 1.0.15! - Should be a huge performance improvement for Gemini Pro 2.5, helping it hone on edits better, particularly in Pro Edit mode. - Also added Plan/Act toggle to help you better architect edits right in the chat!

Sorry you feel this way. Repo Prompt is niche software, and $15/mo for the user base doesn't cover enough for a team, so it's a lot of solo work, iterating on feedback and trying to make it relevant vs products with millions in funding. $15 doesn't even cover a doordash order.

If you've got claude code setup, I highly recommend enabling the new agent edit mode for pro edit, using claude code to handle edits more accurately!
