We will contribute £250,000 towards humanitarian aid efforts in Venezuela. The funding will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee. This will support those affected by the recent earthquakes, helping people access shelter, food, water and medical care. gov.scot/news/venezuela…

We are updating the Dangerous Dogs legislation. This will require that children under the age of 12 are not left unsupervised near a prohibited dog in a private or domestic setting. It will apply to all types of prohibited dogs and come into force on 1 November 2026.
