A very well made notebook that truly lays flat. The Tomoe River Paper is very fountain pen friendly - I have read there was a year of bad paper but mine is not part of that batch.

One of my best dip pens
I prefer the Sailor dip pens to traditional dip pens because of the nib. Sailor includes a dip nib that is more fountain pen like in performance than traditional dip calligraphy nibs allowing for a writing experience that can demonstrate fountain pen ink properties better than other traditional dip pens. Install the Sailor reservoir and you have enough ink to fill an A4 page.

a deep rich indigo
This is a very saturated ink with a heavy red sheen. It is well behaved and has a good flow even in a japanese fine nib. On the page it has a similar to Shin-Kai but more sheen, Yonaga is also a similar color.

A nice vibrant blue
I was looking for a dup of the Sailor Studio 15th Anniversary Sailor's Ocean Blue Ink, this is a great vibrant blue with a hint of red sheen on most papers but it is not as saturated the Anniversary ink. It has a good flow without being supper wet which allows for shading even with fine nibs.

Best notebook!
These are my go-to notebooks for work. The paper is fantastic. It takes fountain pens without feathering. I also love that it splits between lined pages and blank ones. The strap last well past me getting to the last page. A quick add-on when I'm ordering anything. from Yoseka :D

Absolutely beautiful pen! The medium nib paired with Lennon Tool Bar ink writes very smooth and though I have small handwriting I prefer this medium nib to my other Platinum with a F nib.
