OinkJam is a beginner-friendly game jam that takes place over the span of two weeks. Anyone is welcome to join, but we especially hope to encourage girls and other gender-minority youth to participate in this game jam. Not only will you have a shiny new game to add to your portfolio, but you'll also receive recognition, feedback, and the chance to win prizes!
Our jam is hosted on Itch, and we are a fiscally sponsored 501(c)(3) nonprofit through The Hack Foundation. Don't worry if you can't participate in this jam, as we are planning on running more iterations in the future!

You can interpret the themes however you like, and only one of them must be implemented into your game. You can also try to have both themes if you want an additional challenge!
Your game must have been entirely made during the jam period. You may use pre-existing assets and tools, but disclose that in your game description. You should also include an explanation of how your game relates to one of the themes. You can use any game engine!
YOU MUST KEEP TRACK OF YOUR PROGRESS! This can be done either by taking screenshots every day with the date/time visible, or by having a public GitHub repository for your project. We may ask to see it at the end of the jam.
Solo developers and teams of up to 4 people are allowed. Join our Discord server to easily find teammates!
Games should generally be appropriate for all ages, with the exception of scary/violent content in horror games. No offensive, hateful, or explicit content.
Provide constructive feedback to others and maintain a supportive community atmosphere!
