Invites

Today I added the ability for you to create invite codes that allows fellow friends, family and new bloggers to create an account on Scribbles. Your account needs to be eligible first, before unlocking invite codes. It needs to be older than 6 months and also have an active subscription (or lifetime account). Meeting that criteria, you will see a new section in our account settings screen called "Invites". Just go ahead and you can create your first code. • ❤️ Re-added the explore RSS feed so you can subscribe to the feed. • 😘 Made the explore page public again, so visitors that do not use Scribbles can explore your posts. • ✌️ Added a random "Discover Blogs" on the Explore page that will bring through blogs at random that appear in the section so others can find your blog. Temporarily closing new registrations

Today I decided to remove the ability to create new accounts on Scribbles. The reality is, is that it gets a lot of spam sign ups — and that just totally isn't great for me. It's mostly from gmail addresses. Blocking gmail would be easy enough, but it won't solve the problem. At this time, Scribbles has its own legs — it pays for its own server and hosting bills, with just under 400 total blogs (that are not just the default "My new blog"). 🐛 Fixed an issue that would not correctly clear the RSS feed cache when publishing posts within the space of 1 hour. Sorry about this. Feeds should start updating normally after publishing a post now.

✅ Looks like issues with Cloudflare have been resolved. Today has been out of my control and I apologise for any downtime — the services remained up, but were not reachable because of the layer between the network (Cloudflare) and my servers.

🚨 There is currently a massive outage with Cloudflare that is causing a lot of services to be offline, including Scribbles. Monitoring. Blogs on a custom domain should not be affected by this.

🎨 Tweaked and fixed a layout issue with the overflow menu on the new text editor. Should flow nicer now on smaller screens.
