I've been stitching quite a bit in the past week or so. Here's another ornie that I did...it was a totally unplanned item! I was going to send it overseas to someone but changed my mind after it was finished. The tuck pillow was also made by me but it's a bit big & I forgot to put the darn ribbon in it so I'll be making another smaller one & this time, I'll do the ribbon!

My January ornament

I'm starting early & attempting to do an ornament a month along with the girls on the Needle & Thread BB. So this is January's effort....a poinsettia stitched on perforated plastic (just love that stuff for finishing ornies!) from the 1998 JCS ornament edition.
Now I'm off to do some more on Come Tarry. The frog came visiting on that piece...just some backstitch to do & I'll be ready to start on the first of the over 1 verse. I also spent a considerable amount of time re-charting that awful wonky writing. As a Virgo, it's very annoying when the same letter is done 3 different ways!

A finish that's not Christmas related

I know what you're thinking....she does other stitching besides Christmas?? LOL This is Shepherd's Purse by Shepherd's Bush. I
started it in December 2002 & just finished it today. Incredible considering the size of the thing. It's only about 4" square! Anyway, it's done & I'm happy. It wasn't even on my goals list either.
I have also been stitching on SB's Come Tarry. I'm glad to get back to it as it's a lovely design & I haven't touched it for a while.

My last stitched ornament for 2005

This is the last ornie I finished in 2005. I finished it on New Year's Eve & I'm happy about that cos now all the ornies I kitted in 2004 are done! :) It's designed by The Workbasket & it's from the 2003 JCS ornie ed (aren't they all??). Maybe now I can start kitting some from the 2004 & 2005 editions!
I was just reading Dani's blog(http://www.tkdchick.blogspot.com/) & noticed she had a list of goals for 2006. So I'm gonna steal that idea (thanks Dani!) & this is what I've come up with:
- Finish SB's Come Tarry (or even pick it up again!!!)
- Finish SB's Bee Garden
- Finish SB's Robert's stocking for my DB
- Sew both Robert's stocking & Elisabeth's stocking into stockings - does that make sense??
- Get myself a journal & actually write in it. I used to have Organised Expressions loaded on my computer & I used the diary section of that to keep track of my stitching. But since the great computer crash of 2004 :) I haven't put it back on so have no idea what I've done in the past year....but I don't think it's much.
- Stitch some more ornies - I do love them!
I think that will do; don't want to be too optimistic!
