4. Google Account Integration

Our Service integrates with Google services to provide authentication and email functionality. This integration includes:

Applisights' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4.1 Google Sign-In

You may choose to sign up for or log into our Service using your Google account. When you use Google Sign-In, we request the following permissions:

  • OpenID Connect: To verify your identity
  • Profile information: To obtain your name and profile picture
  • Email address: To create your account and communicate with you

We only access the minimum information necessary to create and maintain your account. Your Google password is never stored or accessed by our Service.

4.2 Gmail Integration

You may optionally link your Gmail account to our Service to send emails to job candidates. When you authorize Gmail integration, we request permission to:

  • Send emails on your behalf: Using the scope "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send"
  • Access your Gmail email address: To identify which Gmail account to use for sending

Important notes about Gmail integration:

  • We only send emails when you explicitly initiate the action
  • We do not read, access, or store your existing Gmail messages
  • We do not access your Gmail contacts or other account data
  • All emails are sent from your Gmail account, not our servers
  • You can revoke Gmail access at any time through your account settings
  • We do not use any data obtained from Google services to train AI models or machine learning algorithms

4.3 Revoking Google Permissions

You can manage or revoke the permissions granted to our Service at any time:

  • Gmail permissions: Can be revoked through your account settings on our platform or through your Google Account permissions page
  • Google Sign-In: You can disconnect your Google account by contacting us, though this will require creating a new account with email/password if you wish to continue using our Service
  • Google Account settings: Visit https://myaccount.google.com/permissions to manage all app permissions

5. Use of AI and Automated Processing

Our Service employs artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to analyze candidate information. This includes:

  • Automated resume parsing and analysis
  • Skills matching and assessment
  • Candidate scoring and ranking

We implement measures to reduce bias in our algorithms and ensure fair treatment of all candidates. However, automated processing is intended to assist, not replace, human decision-making in the hiring process.

Important: We do not use any data obtained from Google services (including Google Sign-In information, Gmail data, or any other Google account data) to train our AI models or improve our machine learning algorithms. Google-sourced data is used exclusively for the authorized purposes described in this policy, such as authentication and email sending functionality.

We will retain your personal information and the candidate information you provide only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We may share your information in the following situations:

  • Google Services: When you use Google Sign-In or Gmail integration, certain information is shared with Google in accordance with their privacy policy and our authorized use of their APIs. We only access the minimum data necessary for the functionality you have authorized.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors who provide services on our behalf, such as payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, and customer service.
