Arctic Frontiers 2026
Turn of the Tide
Tromsø, Norway 2 February – 5 February, 2026
Arctic Frontiers is a catalyst for decision-making and network building by mobilizing key voices of science, policy, business, and local Arctic communities, to rapidly turn knowledge into actions. Through outreach activities and with competent and committed partners on arctic issues, Arctic Frontiers sets the agenda for a responsible and sustainable development of the Arctic. The Arctic Frontiers partnership network consists of some of the world’s leading actors in the Arctic. The competence and interdisciplinarity of the partner network is unique in both national and international contexts. Arctic Frontiers started out in 2006 assembling the first global scientific conference on economic, societal and environmental sustainable growth in the north.
Arctic Frontiers 2026: Turn of the Tide
In the Arctic, as across the globe, tides are shifting. Geopolitical landscapes are evolving, climate systems are accelerating, and economic structures are being reshaped. From rising temperatures and economic recalibration to cultural resurgence, the Arctic is both a witness to and a driver of transformation.
This year’s theme underscores the ebb and flow of the world, and the time for change. In this moment of opportunity, we invite participants to reflect on the rhythms of global change and their implications for the pan-Arctic region.
In 2026 we will bring together leading voices to examine the state of Arctic collaboration, economic transitions, infrastructure needs, technological frontiers, and the health of the ocean that unites the region. And as the world’s tide turns, we will explore how the Arctic can influence, adapt to, and help shape the global future.
See you from February 2nd to 5th, 2026 in Tromsø, Norway.

Theme: New Consciousness
Norway
We live in an era when it is a luxury to disconnect. Technology enables us humans to create and share content to an extent that has never been possible before.
We have access to endless information about the world, its challenges and realities of people that are miles away from us. Similarly, our world, its challenges and stories are accessible to others. We therefore have to live consciously.
Conscious of our biases
Conscious of the how others live and how our lives affect them
Conscious of what needs to change
Consciousness ultimately leads us to challenge existing frameworks enforced to us through education, religion, geographical locations and culture. By challenging these, we open up to different possibilities which makes us better participants in the society, better to one another and to ourselves. By freeing our minds we gain consciousness.

Nordic Edge Expo is the Nordic cross-sectoral meeting place for smart and sustainable societies.
We connect leaders, entrepreneurs, decision-makers and capital to create new partnerships and actions.
For the 2026 Expo, we explore how to shift our communities to be regenerative, resilient and inclusive. Where we live and how we want to live shapes our actions.
Why attend?
When we get together, we create new ideas, initiatives and actions for the future. Nordic Edge Expo is the most important cross-sectoral meeting place, where people from all sectors of society connect. We believe this is key for driving societal impact.
How do we build resilient cities that not only withstand pressure, but strengthens people, nature and community?
How do we create societies that not only limits damage, but also heals, renews and fuels hope?
How do we produce enough food, while restoring sustainable agriculture and healthy soil?

Theme for Crucible 2026
Thriving in Uncertainty
Market volatility, geopolitical tension, and rapid technological disruption are no longer exceptions, they’re the environment we operate in. For startups and scaleups, this new reality demands more than agility. It calls for strategic resilience, bold decision-making, and the ability to spot opportunity in the midst of chaos. At Crucible 2026, we explore what it truly means to thrive, not just survive in uncertain times. How do founders lead with confidence when the ground is constantly shifting? What separates the companies that break through from those that break down? From navigating unstable markets to leveraging disruptive technologies like AI, energy transitions, and global capital shifts, we need to focus on building startups that are not only future-ready but future-defining. This is not about waiting for stability, it’s about building strength in the storm.

ABOUT ARCTIC15
Est. 2007
18 years of history
Arctic15 is the most effective matchmaking startup event in Northern Europe. The focus is on making deals and quality networking. The 2-day event brings together a focused international crowd of startups, investors, corporates, media and influencers.
15 Tracks are focused on various industries, technologies and topics ranging from Digital Health and AI to Social Impact and Scaling. Industry players can use the time efficiently and gather under one roof. The core of it all is one-on-one meetings in Deal Room.
The event is organized by ArcticStartup, a startup media covering Nordics and Baltics since 2007.
Our story
Over the years, we have seen many other events adopt these ideas and we could not be happier about it – as we believe that events are at the heart of business and entrepreneurship. Be it startup events, professional fairs, small networking breakfasts – events bring people together. People do business. The logic is simple.
What we saw is that there was an opportunity to take this to the next level by solely focusing on quality matchmaking and networking and that is how the current vision of Arctic15 was born. Quality matchmaking and real deals – no matter the cost.
Today, Arctic15 is a startup business event which gathers 1500-2000 attendees every year. This year we aim for 300+ investors, 450+ startups, 150+ corporates, a maximum of 2000 attendees and again – the name of the game will be “Deal Room”. This is a unique matchmaking solution that makes it easy & efficient for you to meet as many relevant investors or potential clients as you can.
P.S. The name comes from the fact that originally it started out as a pitching competition that was gathering the TOP 15 startups from the Nordic and Baltic region. The competition is still up and running but it has changed its form into Funding Program. It focuses on connecting angel investors to successful startups from the region to negotiate cross-border syndicate investments.

WELCOME TO ARENDALSUKA 10. – 14. AUGUST 2026
Arendalsuka is the largest political gathering in Norway held annually since 2012. The event’s mission is clear: strengthen the belief in political empowerment and democracy through open debate and involvement.
Arendalsuka is the result of co-creation between national and local political parties, NGO’s, universities, research institutions, private companies and the Municipality of Arendal.
Arendalsuka takes place every year in mid-August. For 5 days, the city of Arendal is filled with an interesting and educational variety of exhibitions and events.
Visitors and press
There are several ways to take part in Arendalsuka
- As a visitor or participant
- As an exhibitor with a Stand in Political fair (Politisk gate)
- As an organiser of event
Free entrance and no tickets
All events are free, and seats are handed out on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
About Arendalsuka
Arendalsuka is the largest political gathering in Norway held annually since 2012. The event’s mission is clear: strengthen the belief in political empowerment and democracy through open debate and involvement.
We aim to lower the threshold for political participation and inspire civic engagement by creating a politically independent forum where everyday citizens meet political leaders, business leaders, entrepreneurs, governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) and the media.
As organisers of Arendalsuka, we create the arena – and then we invite organisers and exhibitors to create the content.
Arendalsuka was founded in 2011. Since 2012, the week has been the largest political gathering in Norway. Arendalsuka has assisted in the foundation of the Nordic and Baltic Festival Network of similar gatherings cooperating and contributing to the overall mission.
‘Almedalsveckan’ in Sweden was the democracy festival that inspired a few individuals to establish a similar gathering in Norway – now known as Arendalsuka. Arendalsuka is a result of co-creation between the municipality, national- and local political parties, NGO’s, universities, research institutions and private companies.
Ownership and organisation
Arendalsuka is owned by the Municipality of Arendal. The Mayor of Arendal is head of the democracy festival and leads the work of the Arendalsuka council.
The council consists of people from different groups of participants in the festival, such as organisation for employers, unions, from the school sector, county municipality and more. The council helps the festival set direction. The councillor of the Municipality of Arendal is the CEO of the festival.
The project team runs the everyday tasks of Arendalsuka, from planning through implementation. The team is led by 3 project leaders.
The Arendalsuka main program committee consists of three people with various background. The committee works independently and cannot be coerced.
The Arendalsuka Ung-committee is local and operates by the same principles.
Arendalsuka is a result of co-creation between the municipality, national and local political parties, NGO’s, universities and research institutions and private companies. A wide range of reference groups are annually involved in setting the direction of the festival, as thus mentioned above.
Sponsors
Arendalsuka is mainly (85 %) funded by sponsors. Their contribution is purely support for a democratic festival like Arendalsuka, and in full awareness that they have no say in the development or the content of the festival.
Democracy Festival Association
The European Democracy Festival Association creates an important network for Arendalsuka, both in learning and facing challenges together – as the pandemic. As democracy is at risk in many areas in the world, also Europe, the Association becomes increasingly more important to the members, as it is for upcoming festivals.

Where leaders shape the future.
Our core belief is that inspiring and equipping business leaders who strive to make the world a better place can create a significant impact on society as a whole. That’s why our mission is to empower leaders to change the world.
Across two inspiring days, we bring together 3,000 leaders—60% of whom are C-level professionals—for an event centered on executive networking and learning from the world’s foremost business thinkers.
16 – 17 SEPTEMBER
This year’s theme
The Human Edge
The Human Edge is about unlocking the strengths that no machine can replicate. In an era of disruption, leaders and organizations must lean on creativity, courage, trust, and resilience to thrive. It’s about the human capacity to inspire, to adapt with grit, and to shape cultures where people and ideas can flourish.
At OBF 2026, we will explore how to harness this human edge to lead with clarity in complexity, to build trust in a digital-first world, and to create organizations that are not only innovative, but meaningful. This is where human ingenuity meets technology.
This is where the true future of leadership is defined.
