CDLS Science, Environment, & Community Spring Symposium Workshops
CDLS is hosting virtual workshops to help attendees and presenters prepare for our hybrid Science, Environment, & Community (SEC) Spring Symposium on May 22, 2026. The symposium is designed as a collaborative space for Fellows, Partners, and community members to spark dialogue, exchange strategies, and build connections between academic research and community knowledge grounded in environmental justice.

How to Convey Science via Zines Workshop - 5/11/26 6pm PT
Facilitators: Tena Dhayalan and Sophia Ramirez 
This workshop will explore creative ways to visually represent your work that will help engage your audience.

Mastering the Uncomfortability of Presenting & Networking Workshop - 5/19/26 6pm PT
Facilitators: Cameron Brown and Michael Ng
This workshop will provide you the tools and resources to successfully present and network with broad audiences.
