Hey Brampton! In honour of Canada Day, let’s use our creativity and improve our skills to build hacks to help our country! Join Brampton Library for our beginner friendly, online 2-day (30 hour) hackathon presented in partnership with Sheridan College and Testoper, to build your first hack, teach others and put your imagination, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills to the test.
Participants must register at bramptonlibrary.eventbrite.ca by June 30.

Eligibility
Participants must register at bramptonlibrary.eventbrite.ca
Brampton Library CANHack is open to:
- Ages 13 and older*
- High school or post-secondary students, or recent graduates
- Residents of Ontario, Canada
- Brampton Library card holders (Don't have a Brampton Library card? Sign up for a virtual card here. Membership is free to all residents of Ontario, Canada)
*Minors under 18 years of age must acknowledge that their parent/guardian is aware of their participation in the online hackathon.
Requirements
Each submission should include the following:
- List of team members and a short description of their role
- A product demo video (up to 3 minutes)
- A pitch deck of up to 10 slides.
- Short abstract of the project
- Any other links, videos, images or documentation that you feel demonstrate your hack.
Submissions do not have to be fully coded or functional in order to be judged; don’t be discouraged from submitting if your hack doesn’t work!
All hacks must be submitted before judging begins at 3:00PM on Sunday, July 5. Failure to submit a hack will result in disqualification.
Prizes
Best Hack
Each member of the team (up to 4 members) that submits the Best Hack as determined by the judges will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Certificate.
