CCV backs Senator Jerry Cirino’s Senate Bill 1 to End Discriminatory DEI in Higher Education

Ohio lawmakers have introduced Senate Bill 1, sponsored by Senator Jerry Cirino, to ban Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) courses, training, hiring requirements, and funding at Ohio’s public colleges and universities. Supporters say DEI programs are discriminatory and promote ideological agendas, while SB1 would ensure all students are treated equally and hiring and admissions decisions are based on merit. Advocates are urging Ohio residents to contact their legislators to support the bill.
