Redirection
The Redirection app within CF7 Apps lets you control where users are redirected after submitting a Contact Form 7 form. This helps you guide users to relevant follow-up content and create a smooth submission experience.
Before enabling the app, make sure you have installed and activated CF7 Apps on your WordPress site. The Redirection feature works only when CF7 Apps is active.
Getting Started
1. Navigate to the CF7 Apps Dashboard by clicking on CF7 Apps under the Contact Form 7 menu.

2. Click the Enable toggle on the Redirection App, then click on the Settings text that appears above the card.

3. Once opened, you’ll see two types of configurations available — Global Settings and Individual Form Settings.

Global Settings
The Global Settings allow you to apply one redirection configuration across all forms.
Steps:
1. In the Redirection settings screen, you’ll see the following options:
- Enable Redirection (linked to the main App toggle)
- Enable Global Settings
- Pop-up (with a link to Redirection documentation)
- Type of Redirection
- Open in a New Tab

2. Enable Global Settings on Internal Forms:
Toggle this option to apply the same redirection settings across all Contact Form 7 forms.

Note: Enable this toggle to apply the same redirection settings across all forms. To set up individual redirections, go to Contact Form 7 → Add Contact Form and configure them separately.
3. Type of Redirection:
- Post Type → A dropdown will appear, allowing you to select any page or post from your website.

- External URL → A text field will appear where you can enter any valid URL.

4. Open in a New Tab:
Use this toggle to decide where the redirected page will open:
- When enabled, the redirection opens in a new browser tab next to the existing one.
- When disabled, the redirection occurs on the same page by reloading it.

Individual Form Settings
The Individual Form Settings allow you to override global settings for specific forms.
Steps:
1. Navigate to Contact Form 7 → Edit Form.
2. Click the CF7 Apps Settings button to open the configuration panel.

3. From the sidebar, select Redirection under the list of enabled apps.
Here, you’ll find the following options:
- Use Global Settings for Redirection
- Pop-up
- Type of Redirection
- Open in a New Tab
4. Use Global Settings for Redirection:
This toggle is Disabled by default. When it’s turned on, the global redirection settings will be applied to this form.

Note: This toggle appears only if the Global Settings option is enabled in the Redirection App. When disabled, global settings will no longer apply, and the individual form settings will take effect instead.
5. Type of Redirection:
- Post Type → Select any page or post from your website.
- External URL → Enter any valid external link.
6. Open in a New Tab:
Use this toggle to decide where the redirected page will open:
- When enabled, the redirection opens in a new browser tab next to the existing one.
- When disabled, the redirection occurs on the same page by reloading it.
