Chalbärä - Änärä Blätz
"Änärä Blätz" – When the Other Side Seems Better
With his third single "Änärä Blätz" (Muotathal dialect for
"meadow on the other side"), Piri – the voice behind CHALBÄRÄ
– continues his deep musical journey through grief, hope, and hard truths.

The song explores a feeling many know too well: the belief that life would be easier,
lighter, or happier elsewhere – whether it’s across the fence, in another job,
another life, or even in the afterlife. With earthy vocals and rustic imagery
– haymaking, milking, placing fence posts – the song paints
a deceptively idyllic picture of what might lie "next door."

But beneath the surface, there’s pain. "Änärä Blätz" is also a message to Piri’s father,
who took his own life believing he might find peace on the “other side.”
The song offers a mix of bitter irony, sorrow, and emotional confrontation.
It questions the idealization of escape and challenges those
who leave to consider what – and who – remains behind.

Raw, poetic, and deeply human, Änärä Blätz speaks from the heart,
for those left to wonder and for those tempted to cross over.
