Coventry University Computer Club (CUCC) presents our First annual Hackathon. University Students (18+) can apply to take part in the Hack in teams of 6 people.
The Hack has no set theme, teams will be required to produce a marketable end product and a fictitious company to present at the end of the 24 hour period. This could be a pure software implementation (website service, app, software, game) or could use a variety of hardware available.
Eligibility
To take part you must be a current University Student or have graduated less than 12 months ago
Requirements
Hackers will be building a End-user product with a fictitious company to market the product. Hackers will need to submit images/video of their demo along with code, and their presentation.

How to enter
Hackers need to register Via Eventbrite linked on our website http://cucomputerclub.com/?page_id=66 by 17:00 on 24/02/2017 for individual registration (To be joined to a team) or 12:00 on 16/03/2016 for Group Registration.
Registration MUST be completed through this method. Devpost registered teams will not be accepted and will be turned away. This is due to a security requirement.

Judging Criteria

Technical Complexity
Judges will look at how technically complex your Hack is, and how much work went into technically creating your demo. -
Completeness
Judges will Judge you on how complete your Hack is. Is it a fully working end product, or a partially working proof of concept. -
Creativity
How creative is your Hack. Is it an amazing new product never before seen on the market, or an innovative take on an existing product? Judges can use this criteria to judge the Hack idea you have come up with along with how good the product looks/feels. -
Marketability
How marketable is the product you have created. Did the fictitious company you created sell the product to our judges?
