ABOUT DATA NATIVES

Data Natives began with a simple but powerful belief: that we are all made of data.
Back in 2015, I came across an article by Monica Rogati called “The Rise of the Data
Natives.” In it, she wrote that “data is the new Internet”—a force shaping how we live, work,
connect, and innovate. That idea lit a spark in me. It gave a name to a feeling I’d long had:
that we were entering a new era, one where data wasn’t just a tool, but the very fabric of our
world.

I wanted to create a space for people who shared that belief. People who weren’t just
working with data—but living it. Who saw data not as code or charts, but as possibility. That’s
how Data Natives was born: as a community for the data-driven generation.
What started as a small meetup quickly became something much bigger. Over the years,
we’ve grown into the world’s largest community of AI natives and data enthusiasts, bringing
together curious minds and bold thinkers from every corner of the tech ecosystem.

Today, we span 50+ global hubs, with our flagship Data Natives conference in Berlin
standing as a yearly celebration of innovation, connection, and future-shaping ideas.

But we’re more than a conference.

We’re a movement.
We gather the brightest minds in data and entrepreneurship through:

● 🌍 Global events
● 📚 Learning experiences
● 🤝 Knowledge exchange
● 💡 Strategic partnerships

With over 183,000 community members, we’re not just observing the rise of AI—we’re
actively building it. From in-person meetups to international summits, we’ve spent the last
decade growing a vibrant, values-driven ecosystem of thinkers, doers, and dreamers.
Joining Data Natives means becoming part of this global movement—one that’s shaping
what comes next, together.

Here’s to the next decade.
