Inspiration
Web2 social platforms are becoming increasingly closed off, with each platform having its own so-called "correct" speech, making it difficult for people to genuinely express their views on any event on a centralized, real-name system platform.
On the other hand, decentralized social platforms emerging on AO, although allowing anonymous comments, have too little content in the community to be attractive. AnonEcho is a plugin built on traditional social platforms, aiming to break through the speech control and data isolation of Web2 social platforms, helping users to express themselves freely and openly. Everyone is Satoshi Nakamoto.
What it does
A Google Chrome extension, once installed, connects to the AO network, allowing you to post anonymous comments on X. These comments are permanently stored on the AO network, making it fully decentralized and anonymous.
How we built it
Just Build it.
Challenges we ran into
Browser plugins operate within multiple isolated environments, requiring a series of methods to bypass the restrictions of these isolated environments in order to achieve functionality.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have successfully adapted the plugin on X and successfully integrated it into the AO network. The current user experience is very smooth.
What's next for AnonEcho
Next, we will add: 1.A message notification feature, where users will receive notifications when they get a reply. 2.Support for multiple chains (Solana EVM) & multiple platforms (Weibo, Reddit, Youtube). 3.A follow feature, where users can follow another anonymous user and receive updates on their latest activities.
