Inspiration

The inspiration for AR Linktree came from the exploration of decentralized applications and linktree app. In today's digital age, many users seek secure ways to share their links without relying on centralized platforms. We aimed to create a tool that is both simple and powerful, enabling users to easily manage and share their online presence.

What it does

AR Linktree is a decentralized application built on Svelte and Arweave AO that allows users to create and upload their custom Linktree pages to Arweave easy. Users can obtain a free undername(subdomain) and access their pages through over 200 gateways without barriers. This approach ensures link permanence and accessibility.

How we built it

We developed AR Linktree using the Svelte framework to achieve a fast, responsive user interface. The backend leverages Arweave's storage capabilities to ensure decentralized and permanent data storage. Throughout the development process, we focused on simplifying the user experience, making it intuitive for users to create and manage their Linktree pages.

Challenges we ran into

During development, we faced several challenges, including optimizing page load speeds and ensuring data consistency across different gateways. Additionally, the complexities of decentralized storage posed technical difficulties, particularly in handling user-uploaded data and ensuring its security.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take pride in successfully launching AR Linktree, especially its decentralized features and user-friendly design. Enabling users to obtain free undernames(subdomains) and upload their pages just some click is a significant achievement for our team. Furthermore, by integrating with Arweave, we have ensured data permanence—a feat that is challenging for traditional platforms.

What we learned

Throughout this project, we learned valuable lessons about decentralized technology and user experience design. We realized that a clean and effective interface is crucial for enhancing user engagement. While decentralized storage offer permanent, it also requires more complex technical support to ensure ar.io gateways and simplest UI.

What's next for AR Linktree

Looking ahead, we plan to further expand the functionality of AR Linktree by adding more tips to help users better understand their link performance. We also aim to continuously optimize the application based on community feedback, enhancing the user experience while exploring collaboration opportunities with other decentralized projects.
