Inspiration

Listening to conversations has always been hard, sometimes they talk too fast and sometimes the conversations are just too hard to understand. By using BackTrack users are able to easily go backwards in a speech.

What it does

The application is cross-platform and records audio as well transcribes audio to text. While recording, the user can flag important spots in a recording to come back to.

How we built it

Both the Web and iOS versions connect to IBM Bluemix to process machine learning as well as key concepts such as sentiment. The web version runs on a Node.JS backend, and an AngularJS front-end. The iOS version is built purely in Swift.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the technologies together was the hardest part.
