Inspiration
I wished to create a fun and engaging experience for people of all ages who were interested in learning all about berries. Through interesting factoids and a competitive trivia game as features, I wanted to help get people engaged and excited about all the different varieties of berries that make our life richer.
What it does
The application relies on voice and text inputs through Alexa devices to immerse users into the world of berries. It consists of highly informative fact sheets about common types of berries both found in the wild as well as domesticated species. After going through these factoids, users can also become players in a trivia game experience that will test their knowledge to recognize different types of berries and engage in friendly competition with their friends and family.
How we built it
The core frameworks used by the application were those associated with Amazon Alexa, with support from AWS services like Lambda to store all the information pertaining to different berry categories. The trivia game components were rendered within the Alexa framework using JavaScript elements.
