Inspiration
VR “hangovers” are a known phenomenon, and people can also experience post-VR sadness. When we have experienced an amazingly immersive world and have to come back into the real world, it can make us depressed and sad – and the more incredible our immersive experiences become, the more people will struggle with this. Internet or gaming addictions are already a big problem for kids and adults, and getting hooked on spending all our time in the metaverse could be an even greater problem in the future. So, to solve this issue, I designed an app. Here is my app Blue Moon, which aids in the maintenance of mental wellness.
What it does
Meditation : You can listen to meditation music and perform meditation. As evidence suggests that meditation makes your mind to relax.
Exercise: In our app you can able to watch simple exercise videos which make you fit physically and mentally.
Sleep: Inefficient sleeping considered as a major problem. So, if you can't able to sleep, you can listen to bed time stories in our app using spotify.
Game: We have designed a tic tac toe game. Because it helps develop coordination, fine motor skills and visual skills. It can help improve your concentration.
Diet: We suggest you healthy food to eat with the certain calories. As mediterranean diet eating pattern has long been recognized as promoting better cardiovascular health.
To-do List: Using To-Do list makes you a super productive and organized person.
How we built it
I built this using figma
Challenges we ran into
One challenge that I ran into was managing my time while working on this project. There were so many workshops or other fun events going on that I often found myself deciding between working on this project or attending another workshop/event. In addition, deciding the features to include was a challenge. I had so many different ideas, and knew that I wouldn’t be able to implement all of them, and could only choose a few.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud of how I was able to create a comprehensive prototype with decent UI/UX in such a short amount of time. In addition, since this was my first time working on a Figma project solo, it was really interesting to have full control over every aspect of the app, and I’m proud of what I’ve created!
What we learned
One big thing I learned is how to better work with Figma. I’m still pretty new to using it and every time I work with it I learn something new!
What's next for Blue Moon
Next, I planned to build a real app with these features.
